WWF SHOTGUN SATURDAY NIGHT
10th January 1998 (taped 05/01)
New Haven, Connetticut
Jim Ross is your announcer.

Ross - Hello everybody, I'm Jim Ross and welcome to the first ever
Shotgun Saturday Night. We've got Marc Mero in action, Kama
Mustafa and D-Lo Brown will take on The Harlem Heat and we'll
also see the women's world title up for grabs. But first lets go
to the ring for some tag team action with The Headbangers against
       The Headhunters.

The Headhunters beat The Headbangers by countout in 19-07 --- *.5

Ross - Well that's an important win there for the Headhunters, but
you've gotta think that both of these teams will be paying
close attention to Raw on monday night, when I hear there will
be some sort of announcement on the tag team titles. Folks,
we've gotta take a break, we'll be right back.

Ross - Welcome back everybody. We've got Adam Bomb on his way to the
ring here, he's gonna take on Tim Horner. You know, this guys
career took a huge nose dive a few years ago, but he's back to
his best now, and were it not for the incredible talent of
Chris Benoit, many feel that he could have been the
       Intercontinental Champion.

Adam Bomb defeated Tim Horner with the crotch slam in 7-50 --- **.25

<-commercials->

Ross - well here comes Scott Taylor to the ring. Taylor was pretty
upset with his partner Brian Christopher this past week,
after Christopher blew their chance at the tag titles in the
battle royale. It remains to see how strong the relationship is
       with these two.

Marc Mero beat Scott Taylor with the TKO in 15-24 --- *.25

**Royal Rumble Update**

Cole - Hi folks, I'm Michael Cole and welcome to your Royal Rumble
Update. Now we all saw the events this past week on Raw, between
the Intercontinental Champion, Chris Benoit, and Bam Bam
Bigelow. What did Bam Bam mean when he questioned Vince
McMahon about trying to bury his career? Hey, I don't know, but
what I do know is that the WWF has signed Chris Benoit to defend
the IC title against Bam Bam Bigelow. Can Benoit defeat
Bigelow again? Be sure to call your cable operator and order
the Royal Rumble to find out.

And what about the situation between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels? There's been bad blood between these two since birth! Let's take you back to this past week on Raw.

(From 05/01 Raw)

Bret - ...you're nothing but chickenshit.

HBK - I'll tell you what, Hitman, I'll give you your title shot. I'll
give you a title shot at the Royal Rumble.

Bret - Fine. You want 13 more days at being champion, that's fine. But
come January 18th, we'll all know you the real showstopper is.

Cole - That is sure to be an amazing match. Be sure to tune in to Raw
on monday night, for news on an intriging stipulation added to
this match. I'm Michael Cole and this was the WWF Royal Rumble
       Update.

The Team of Kama Mustafa and D-Lo Brown fought Harlem Heat to a 20 minute time limit draw --- *.25

Ross - Well that's gotta be frustrating for both teams. Even more so
for the Harlem Heat, who if you remember, were eliminated from
the tag title tournament by way of a time limit draw. Folks,
we'll be right back with the WWF women's title on the line!

WWF Womens Champion Madusa pinned Bertha Faye with a german suplex in 10-14 --- -.75 (Madusa retains the WWF womens title)

Ross - Well thanks for watching folks. Be sure to tune into Raw next
week when they'll be an announcement concerning the tag titles,
Bam Bam Bigelow will also be in action and Vader will take on
Hunter Hearst Helmsley. So long everybody!
